Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Plenova Labs LLC, a Florida limited liability company with its principal place of business in Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, Florida ("Plenova," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, stores, and shares information about you when you access or use our websites, software products, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Services"), including the product known as EdgeCal. We value your privacy and are committed to being transparent about our practices.
The short version. We collect only what we need to run the Services — your email address, basic account information, and the data necessary to process payments and deliver analytics to you. We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade it. And we do not build advertising profiles.
§ 01Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Account information: name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash) when you register for an account.
- Payment information: handled exclusively by our payment processor Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full credit card number, CVV, or bank account details on our systems. We receive limited billing metadata (e.g., last four digits of card, card brand, billing country) from Stripe.
- Communications: messages you send to us via email, support forms, or other channels.
- Optional profile information: any additional data you choose to add to your account.
Information collected automatically
- Log and usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, features used, and timestamps. This helps us operate the Services, detect abuse, and improve performance.
- Cookies and similar technologies: we use a small number of first-party cookies required to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns (e.g., page views, feature adoption), but we do not use behavioral advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Information we do not collect
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. We do not collect precise geolocation data. We do not access your social media accounts, contacts, or files on your device unless you explicitly authorize it. We do not collect biometric data.
§ 02How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
- Process payments and manage your subscription through Stripe;
- Authenticate you and secure your account;
- Send you transactional communications (receipts, account notifications, service updates);
- Respond to your support requests;
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- Comply with legal obligations;
- Improve the accuracy and quality of our analytics, dashboards, and research outputs.
We do not use your personal information to train third-party machine learning models. Any internal improvements to our products are derived from aggregated, de-identified usage data — never from the content of individual user communications or private account data.
§ 03Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK users)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information on the following legal bases: (a) performance of a contract — to provide the Services you signed up for; (b) legitimate interests — to operate and improve the Services, prevent fraud, and secure our systems; (c) consent — where we specifically ask for it, such as marketing emails; and (d) legal obligation — when required by applicable law.
§ 04How We Share Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: with trusted third parties that help us run the Services (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, customer support, and error monitoring). These providers are bound by contractual obligations to handle your data securely and use it only for the purposes we specify. See Section 5 for the categories of providers we rely on.
- Legal compliance: if required by law, subpoena, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Plenova, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our assets. We will notify users of any such change in ownership and provide meaningful choices where required by law.
- With your consent: for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we collect the information.
§ 05Categories of Service Providers
Our Services rely on a small number of vetted third-party providers that process limited personal data on our behalf. Each provider is bound by contractual obligations to handle your information securely and to use it only for the purposes we specify:
- Payment processor — Stripe, Inc. handles subscription billing and payment processing. We do not store full payment card details on our systems.
- Hosting and edge delivery provider — for website and application hosting, edge delivery, and serverless functions.
- Database and authentication provider — for encrypted storage of account data and user authentication.
- Model inference providers — for AI analytical outputs. No user personal data is sent to these providers as training data.
- Transactional email and product analytics providers — where used, for sending account-related messages and understanding aggregate product usage.
§ 06Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain specific records (for example, billing records for tax purposes).
§ 07Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions.
- Portability: receive your information in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection and restriction: object to or request that we limit certain processing.
- Withdraw consent: where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
- Opt out of marketing: unsubscribe from marketing emails via the link in every message.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@plenova.ai. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Plenova does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
§ 08Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest where applicable, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
§ 09International Data Transfers
Plenova is based in the United States, and our service providers may process your data in the U.S. or other countries. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer, processing, and storage of your information in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect international transfers.
§ 10Children's Privacy
The Services are not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
§ 11Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on our website and updating the effective date at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
